About us

Dear guests,

For many generations we have managed our farm with passion and dedication.

Our farm is idyllically situated in the middle of the picturesque landscape of Tyrol, surrounded by green meadows, lush fields and an impressive mountain backdrop. Here you can leave everyday life behind and enjoy the peace and nature.

Our family consists of three generations, all closely connected with each other. Together we take care of the animals, the farming and the maintenance of the lands. It is important for us to give our guests a glimpse of life on the farm and to show them the beauty and diversity of agriculture.

We attach great importance to sustainability and organic farming. Our animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner and we rely on regional and seasonal products. In our farm store you can buy fresh milk, eggs, homemade jams and other delicacies.

Our farm offers cozy accommodations where you can feel completely at home. From comfortable rooms to spacious apartments – we have something for everyone. The children can let off steam in our playground, get to know the animals or help milk the cows.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you as our guests and making your stay unforgettable. With us you can expect not only accommodation, but a piece of real farm idyll, where you can leave everyday life behind.

Welcome to our farm!

Our farm in the course of time

History

13th century
1. mention

It is a tradition in Tyrol that every farm has its own farm name. The name of our farm has been “Hoarachhof” since the end of the 18th century. Before that, documentary evidence refers to the “Lehner Gut”. Our farm is mentioned for the first time in surviving sources in 1305 under the name “Lounar”.

1876
First conversion

Our farm was first associated with the name Larcher in 1876, the year in which Martin Larcher bought it from a certain Mr. Mayr. Larcher was probably from Navis.

Present
the hoarachhof

Whereas previously the commercial and residential buildings were contiguous, in 1994/95 we separated the two building complexes as part of a comprehensive reconstruction.

The aim of the reconstruction was also to integrate a heating system in the yard, which can be operated by the own wood. The installation of a wood chip heating system was the obvious choice.

In addition to the cost savings in the procurement of heating material, we were motivated to install this system in particular by the desire to heat our large house in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

Heating is cost-saving for us because we have meadows of about 15 hectares and forestry areas of about 10 hectares. The conscientious maintenance of the forest entails the annual “felling” of parts of the tree population and reforestation. The wood to be removed in the process can be used economically within the framework of our heating system

Our

VALUES

Our farm places great emphasis on sustainable practices such as organic farming and species-appropriate animal husbandry in order to protect the environment and provide a healthy life for the animals. We also use renewable energies to minimize our energy consumption and contribute to climate protection.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a central concern for us on our farm. We are aware of our responsibility towards the environment and future generations and are actively committed to sustainable agriculture. Here are some of our measures:

  1. Organic farming: We practice organic farming, avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Instead, we rely on natural methods, such as growing crop rotations and using biological pest controls, to promote the health of our crops.

  2. Species-appropriate animal husbandry: Our animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner and have sufficient space to move freely. We attach great importance to their welfare and ensure that they receive species-appropriate food. Keeping animals healthy and happy is of utmost importance to us.

  3. Renewable energies: We use renewable energies to minimize our energy consumption. Solar panels and wind
